Sociétaire honoraire
After joining the Comédie-Française on September 1, 1971, Catherine Ferran was named a sociétaire on January 1, 1981, and a sociétaire honoraire on January 1, 2006.
She played the roles of the Mother in Jean-Luc Lagarce’s Just the End of the World (Juste la fin du monde) staged by Michel Raskine, of Cathos in Molière’s Les Précieuses ridicules (The Precious Ridiculous) staged by Dan Jemmet; of Charlotte in Édouard Bourdet's Les Temps difficiles staged by Jean-Claude Berutti, of Madame Queuleu in Bernard-Marie Koltès’ Return to the Desert (Retour au désert) staged by Muriel Mayette-Holtz, and of the Policewoman, the Lady with a little voice, the Lady with a shell in Philippe Minyana’s La Maison des morts staged by Robert Cantarella.
Furthermore, Catherine Ferrand embodied the roles of First Woman, First Neighbor and Maria in Thomas Bernhard's Dramalettes staged par Muriel Mayette-Holtz, of Anna in Thomas Bernhard’s Heldenplatz put on stage by Arthur Nauzyciel, of Emilia in William Shakespeare’s The Winter Tale staged by Muriel Mayette-Holtz, of Nérine in Molière’s Monsieur de Pourceaugnac staged by Philippe Adrien, of a Duenna in Victor Hugo’s Ruy Blas put on stage by Brigitte Jaques-Wajeman, of Rita in Karin Mainwaring’s The Rain Dancers staged by Muriel Mayette-Holtz and Jacques Vincey, as well as the role of Jacqueline in Marie Laberge’s Oublier staged by Daniel Benoin.

La Comédie-Française est une véritable ruche de près de 80 métiers exercés par 450 personnes qui fabriquent chaque élément des 25 spectacles qu’elle présente chaque saison. Venez les découvrir !
POUR LA SAISON 24-25
En raison du renforcement des mesures de sécurité dans le cadre du plan Vigipirate « Urgence attentat », nous vous demandons de vous présenter 30 minutes avant le début de la représentation afin de faciliter le contrôle.
Nous vous rappelons également qu’un seul sac (de type sac à main, petit sac à dos) par personne est admis dans l’enceinte des trois théâtres de la Comédie-Française. Tout spectateur se présentant muni d’autres sacs (sac de courses, bagage) ou objets encombrants, se verra interdire l’entrée des bâtiments.
