For the first time, Madeleine Brohan plays Philaminte in Molière's Les Femmes Savantes. The actress was actively involved in the organisation of the infirmary in the foyer of the theatre during the siege of Paris in 1870.
Luigi Pirandello enters the Repertoire of the Comédie-Française with Right You Are (If You Think So), directed by Charles Dullin. He is the third Italian author to join the Repertoire, after Goldoni and D'Annunzio. This piece marks the first scenography that Suzanne Lalique creates at the Comédie-Française, where she will stay 36 years.
