For organisations working with audiences with sensory, motor, psychological or cognitive disabilities, or living with long-term conditions (ALD), the Comédie-Française offers tailored pathways and provisions combining performances, visits, talks and workshops around theatre.

The Comédie-Française is committed to welcoming all audiences in the best possible conditions.

Visiting the Comédie-Française

  • Offered free of charge to accessibility groups attending a performance, these tours provide an opportunity to discover the Comédie-Française, how it operates, its auditoriums, and to become familiar with the history of Molière and the Troupe.

  • From age 8. Duration approximately 2h. Standard rate €8

    Sensory tour of the Salle Richelieu and tactile model handling
    Discover the history of the Maison through an olfactory and tactile journey exploring its three pillars: the Troupe, the Répertoire and the Alternance. Through hands-on exploration of tactile scale models of the theatre, gain a sense of the building, its unique workings and its spaces. 

    Saturday 27 February at 10:30am ahead of the audio-described performance of L'École de danse 

    Technical tour of the Salle Richelieu and its stage 
    After passing through the public foyer and the gallery of busts, we invite you to step onto the stage of the Salle Richelieu and discover the theatre's technical heritage and the sets produced in our workshops.

    Historical and technical tour of the Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier  
    An opportunity to discover the history of this venue and go behind the scenes, taking in the backstage areas, dressing rooms and stage. This sensory immersion leads visitors on a journey through the crafts and techniques of the performing arts. 

    Wednesday 9 December at 6:30pm and Sunday 13 December at 11:30am

  • From age 8. Duration 1h30. Standard rate €8.

    In collaboration with Accès Culture, the Comédie-Française offers an adapted tour in French Sign Language to discover this unique theatre.

Partnership agreements

For organisations wishing to commit to a partnership with the Comédie-Française over a full season, partnership agreements are available. These enable groups to follow tailored pathways combining performances, visits, mediation activities and practical workshops.
