On the occasion of the publication of the correspondence between Albert Camus and Francis Ponge, the Comédie-Française and Gallimard have joined forces to give voice to the brilliant dialogue between two men equally concerned with creating a better future and whose influence on the intellectual and moral life of post-war France was to be decisive. These letters exchanged between 1943 and 1947 give us a glimpse into their friendship and while the correspondence reveals a confrontation between two conceptions of the world and its meaninglessness, the two men agree to learn from their differences.
