There remain many contemporary authors and texts to be revealed. The Comédie-Française and the CENTQUATRE join forces to give them a stage. This showcasing follows an initial meeting between a director, often foreign, who reveals a text while at the same time discovering the actors of the Comédie-Française. These projects are presented in the form of staged readings on the threshold of acting, where the words can be uncoupled from the page and be embodied so as to resonate with the here and now.Giving meaning to these texts by giving them a stage, bringing them to an audience before they are known and soon familiar, is also about trying to open up audiences to new worlds and new theatrical experiences.
