“What better subject, and what more suitable place to discuss it than in the House of Molière?” asks Olivier Barrot. On eight occasions, the writer and journalist will welcome an actor from the troupe on the stage of the Studio-Théâtre, to question him about his apprenticeship years and the mechanics of his art. In the course of the interview, the actor will speak about his school and teachers, how he learned to walk on a stage, to have consideration for his partners, to speak prose, to recite the alexandrine meter, to control his breathing and concentration and to master silence. Theory, application, every aspect of this most particular but actually little known work will be examined up close and illustrated through demonstration.
