A migrant like so many others, shipwrecked like many, swallowed up by the sea, she clings to a few hundred meters of beach and her pair of sunglasses – a final lifeline before she sinks to the bottom of the sea. In this monologue shot through with a poetic brilliance, the Italian author draws us into the shipwrecked dreams of those who seek to reach a land of hope.
