As soon as its series of Vieux-Colombier performances end, this utterly modern, feminist-leaning Molière play is leaving for a tour of France. Masked theatre aficionado and Munstrum Théâtre founder Louis Arene tackles a piece which subverts the usual codes of patriarchal society by depicting a young, predatory bride-to-be striving to put an end to male domination. His production is served by powerful, poetic, deeply striking aesthetics.
